Last night saw the 50th anniversary of the Don Green Cup; a challenge event fought out between the OSC and the Fernhill Squash Club, which consists of just one court on the grounds of the Dunedin Club.
It is played in honour of Don Green who was a force of nature in the game; both as a player (he was national champion in 1956) and an administrator, where he rose to be the President of the New Zealand Squash Rackets Association. Along the way Don was heavily involved with both of our clubs and is the Otago Squash Club's first Life Member and was indeed instrumental in getting our club started.
Great then to pay homage to his legacy in this way and, as an added bonus, we took the spoils this year.

Mark your calendars! This year's AGM takes on extra significance as we will be looking to ratify a new constitution. We cannot do this without you! We will also be looking to appoint officers both within and outside of the committee so if you have something to offer please talk to a committee member and let them know.
